Benvenuti (Welcome) to NSA Naples, Italy. You are about to take the first step in enjoying what will be an exciting and challenging tour in the southern center of Italy. Concerns about quality of life here led to the Navy’s largest improvement initiative and if you’ve been here before, you won’t recognize the military community. Construction of new facilities here is underway and you will witness many exciting changes here.

Our Naples/Gaeta community is host to more than 100 separate commands. Our civilian and military population have organized more than 200 social, professional and recreational organizations, so whether you are active duty, civilian or family member, the community has something for you.

Duty in Italy offers many opportunities, such as travel, recreation, professional development, education, and much more. The key to enjoying a successful tour lies in remembering that living in Italy is not like living in the United States and as an American, you will be seen by Italians to represent everything "American". It is the owners of this site to encourage you to bring honor to our nation and way of life by respecting the customs, culture, people of Italy and way of life here.

Houses and apartments are constructed differently; electric power and utilities are different; shopping, driving and dining are all different. Some people find this adjustment a hard one to make, but embracing the food and the warmth of the people you meet will help you make the transition. The improvement projects have taken giant steps in improving the quality of life for those assigned here, but remember, the key to a successful tour in Italy lies in your willingness to learn and adapt to the differences you will encounter here.
